How to remove .svn folders In a directory tree

 haven't used SVN lately but had to work on a Drupal project hosted on Acquia dev cloud which has the SVN as the code repository. SVN is good but I personally like Git more, cause I feel like Git is much easier in command line. Okay, where did I want this? the story is I had to import SVN code base in the Beanstalk Git repo, and I didn't want to use SVN to Git migration tool or anything like that, just wanted to push the cleaned up code. So removed all the .svn folders and pushed in to Git.

So this will do the trick:

find . -name ".svn" -exec rm -rf {} \;
